Germany revamped its talent pathways. Three popular options for Pakistanis are the Job-search Opportunity Card, the traditional Job Seeker Visa, and the EU Blue Card (for high-skilled employment).
Opportunity Card (Job Search) — 2025
The Opportunity Card lets non-EU nationals come to Germany to look for work. Two routes: as a recognized skilled worker, or via a points system (need ≥ 6 points). First issue up to 1 year; allows part-time work to support yourself. Make It In Germany
Core requirements (points route): qualification (at least 2-year vocational training or a degree recognized in home country), basic language (German A1 or English B2), ≥ 6 points, and proof of funds (or part-time contract up to 20 hours/week). Official checklists available. Make It In Germany
